Here is this week's recap of vegetarian and other Disney dining news, including the official dates for this year's EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
It’s time for my mid-week Disney dining news recap, with a focus on vegetarian updates you need to know.
If you’re vegetarian, like myself, this way you don’t have to hunt through the news to see if there’s anything that pertains to you. If you’re not, that’s ok! There’s other dining news here for you, along with non-dining Disney tidbits.

Disney Vegetarian News
Disneyland announced more new food and drinks, this time coming to the hotels at Disneyland Resort starting May 16 (full list). There are a lot of items, including many vegetarian-friendly offerings, including (to name a few):
Avocado Toast on Sourdough - GCH Craftsman Bar: Grilled sourdough, avocado, poached eggs, ricotta, chives, crispy garlic, honey, basil, and lemon oil (New) (Available for breakfast only)
Ube-stuffed French Toast - Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar (breakfast service is walk-up only) & Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill: Japanese milk bread, coconut custard, ube diplomat cream, and fresh tropical fruit (New) (Available for breakfast only)
Szechuan Cucumber Salad - Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar & Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill : Chinese five-spice, fresh garlic and scallions, toasted sesame seeds, and hot oil vinaigrette (Plant-based) (New) (Available for lunch and dinner only)
Toasted Quinoa & Baby Kale - Palm Breeze Bar: Persian cucumber, dried cranberry, blueberries, almonds, Meyer Lemon vinaigrette (Plant-based) (New)
More Disney Dining News
Walt Disney World
The 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival begins August 28 and runs through November 22. This year, there will be over 35 Global Marketplaces. Stay tuned for booths and menus.
Other Disney News
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns August 15 and will run on select nights through October 31. Ticket prices vary per date and will be available for purchase starting on May 15 for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. Tickets will be available starting on May 22 for all other guests.
There is a new exclusive summer Walt Disney World Annual Passholder tumbler designed by artist Joey Chou is coming for V.I.Passholder days. The tumbler features characters like Figment, Mickey, Stitch, and more. There’s even a golden Mickey-shaped stopper. The nonrefillable tumbler will be available for purchase through mobile order beginning May 14 at the following locations (while supplies last):
Connections Eatery - EPCOT
Regal Eagle - EPCOT
Dockside Diner - Hollywood Studios
Pizzafari - Animal Kingdom
Restaurantosaurus – Animal Kingdom
New Bulk Candy Containers, inspired by the classic Main Street U.S.A. trash cans are coming to select locations at Walt Disney World this May (launch times may vary based on location). You’ll need to visit one of the six merchandise locations and grab at least 1/2 lb. of candy to be able to purchase the container. Be sure to check out before placing the candy in the container.

Pixar Place Hotel's dedicated entrance to Disney California Adventure is now closed through mid-June while crews install new turnstiles, as reported by Scott Gustin.
